The Institute for Sustainable Communities, a US think-tank comprising intellectuals from various fields, has expressed interest to work with Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University to develop ideas for Smart City of Vizag.
The initial discussions were held between US Consulate Public Affairs Officer Gabriel Hons Olivier and GITAM University officials.
Olivier said that the US Government is supporting the Smart City project in Vizag and has come up with ‘Building Smart Cities Through Educational Linkages.’ As a part of the project, American experts will visit Visakhapatnam next month to interact with the GITAM study group on Smart City action plan
