A group of alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) and the faculty of Civil Engineering have come together to launch India’s first 3D printing construction technology.
The company that is collaborating with IIT-M in this venture is Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions, an additive manufacturing startup.
The startup plans to take this technology to the mass market soon, says its co-founder Adithya VS.
The machine that the company has built can print partially hollow structures or structures of shapes that can result in considerable material saving.
