India’s security and surveillance market is looking increasingly positive following government’s Smart City initiatives.

The focus on homeland security and safety of citizens, goods and property has given a positive push to the growth of security equipment makers.

Officials connected with this industry say they expect a significant reduction in import duties of security equipment in view of the fact that security and surveillance is becoming a community initiative.

Observers say that installation of security equipment will promote tourism as well.
