After failing to make it to the Smart City list, Uttarakhand government is planning to launch an opinion poll to involve people in shaping up the proposal to be submitted to the central government on April 15.

State Housing Secretary R Meenakshi Sundram said that from Feb 28, an opinion poll will begin online in https://mygov.in/ where people can give opinion and expectations from the Smart City project.

These will be incorporated in the preparation of new Smart City plans, he said.

He clarified that earlier the state government had submitted the proposal for the greenfield project but now, it has added the retrofitting component as well.

Explaining the four zones earmarked for the Smart City project, he said people can check the exact places, land bank availability in all the four zones online. All the details are mentioned in the website, and the decisions of the selection of zone and the planning would be taken on the basis of the findings.
