Speaking about the approval to the Smart City project, Mayor Vinod Chamoli said, “The main objective is to include core areas like Parade Ground and Gandhi Park in the retrofitting project.”

He said DMC is an important stakeholder in the Smart City project.”We have decided to extend the deadline for payment of commercial tax by a month. People paying taxes during this period will also be able to avail 20% rebate,” he said.

DMC’s anti-encroachment, anti-hoarding and cleanliness drives in the city will be carried out in April, May and June.
